Global Travel SIM FAQ06. How does someone call me on my gotalk Global Travel SIM?You can easily receive calls on your gotalk Global Travel SIM. When you insert your SIM into your phone and select 'Global Roaming' when prompted, wait around 5 seconds and you will receive an SMS with your mobile number. The gotalk Global Travel SIM service uses the UK number format, dial the number as if calling a UK mobile. Alternatively, if you are a gotalk Prepaid Mobile user you can set up call forwarding where all calls to your gotalk Prepaid Mobile number are forwarded to your gotalk Global Travel SIM number, the forwarded call is free of charge. Note that you will be charged for receiving the call on your gotalk Global Travel SIM at the rate of the country you are in 08. What are the costs of Call Forwarding?There is a standard call cost incurred for calling the number that your calls are being forwarded to. However, if you are a gotalk Prepaid Mobile user, forwarded calls from your gotalk Prepaid Mobile number to gotalk Global Travel SIM are free. You will be charged on your gotalk Global Travel SIM for receiving calls as normal. 12. How do I know if my phone is locked? If your mobile phone screen shows any of the following when you first put your gotalk Global Travel SIM in your phone: 'phone restricted', 'blocked', 'barred', 'incorrect SIM' or 'SP lock', your mobile may be locked to another network.
There are a number of ways to unlock your phone depending on where you purchased it from. If you purchased the handset from another telecommunications company, you may need to contact them to arrange for the handset to be unlocked (unlocking fees may occur). Will I get access to My Account?If you purchased your starter kit from customer service, your account is created straight away. If you purchased your starter kit from a retailer or online, you will need to register your details first in order to create the account. You can register your details anytime online or via customer service. 23. How do I get the + sign on my phone?The + sign is important as you need to put it at the front of the number you are calling so it will connect. It does vary of different phones but generally it will be found on the '0' button. Hold that button down for the + to appear. How can I set up my phone for Data or Roaming Internet?On your 3G/GPRS enabled device, simply enter your handset settings and change your data configuration to the following; - APN: mobiledata
